Catching Fire soundtrack

Fans of the book series or movies can get in the mood for the new "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" movie with the soundtrack, now available in either a standard or deluxe edition. We got the deluxe edition because it had four extra songs on it and my oldest wanted the mini-poster that came inside.

While the first movie's soundtrack had a very bluegrass feel, this one is more rock/pop. There's songs from Coldplay, Christina Aguilera, Imagine Dragons, Lorde and The Lumineers. I particularly enjoyed Lorde's dark cover of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," perfect for President Snow and the Capitol. There's also plenty of character references in The Lumineers' "Gale Song" (wonder who that's about?) Ellie Goulding's "Mirror" and Patti Smith's "Capitol Letter."

This would be a great stocking stuffer for the "Hunger Games" fan in your life.
